has been on my mind to send a letter of thanks to both of you for
the incredibly warm service and great food you provided for my
co-worker for her family member’s funeral.
I
was in a difficult situation trying to find a caterer “blind”,
as I am in New Jersey, and did not know who to call in your area. I
was calling any establishment that seemed to be in the area of my
co-workers home, and having no luck. I needed to find someone who
could handle my order on short notice, at
a reasonable price, and deliver on a Holiday as well! Another
restaurant owner recommended your business, and I feel lucky he did.
Both
of you were easy to work with, great communicators, helpful, and the
food got absolutely RAVE reviews! (You were right about that onion
chicken!)

My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday with my parents at The
Yellow Dog Cafe' on July 3rd, and once again, we had an absolutely
wonderful meal! The service was impeccable and the
food was fabulous. Our thanks to Eric (our
server) for taking such good care of us. I started out with
the crab bisque, as I always do. It is the best bisque (of
any kind) that I have ever had. I had the lobster in the
puff pastry as my entree and it was delicious. The sauce was
flavorful, but not too heavy. My boyfriend, Kevin, had
the white salmon (it came highly recommended by Eric). Kevin
was very pleased. It was not as heavy as pink salmon, but
with all of the flavor. We're still talking about our
wonderful dining experience. The chef is exceptional!
This was a great birthday gift for me! Thanks again!

Dear Manager, Chef and Waiter, Danny,
On Friday, May 22nd we had a memorable night of dining at your fine
restaurant. Our waiter, Danny, greeted us cordially and
proceeded to tell us about the specials for the evening. Danny
was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu as well as having
patience with us as we tried to decide which items to select.
Danny is a fine waiter and definitely a
"keeper"!
We have been to many fine restaurants, but we can say in all
honesty that the "Yellow Dog" out shines them all.
Keep up the good work! We will be back soon!

Dear Stuart and Staff,
For the 4th Christmas season in a row, we have made The Yellow Dog
Cafe our traditional "date" place the last Saturday before
Christmas, and look forward to having a great experience.
Despite a few fears that we had built it up too much in our minds,
I'm happy to report that last night's evening was the best yet.
Perfect table, perfect service, outstanding meal (honestly, we think
it was the best meal yet... didn't think you could top yourselves,
but you did!) Our server for the evening, Shawn (Sean?) was
professional, attentive and kind, and we were excited to buy some of
your logo wine glasses as souvenirs of another great evening at
Yellow Dog.
Congratulations again, and thanks for your part in making our
annual pilgrimage from Rockledge worth the drive. We've vowed
to NOT just make it an annual tradition, and look forward to
enjoying an evening on the new porch, this spring.

Today, December 17th, we had our annual Christmas luncheon at
your restaurant. Two of our Vice Presidents had recommended
your establishment as they take visiting guests there quite often.
I want to thank you for an enjoyable dining experience. We
were a party of 30 and have found in the past it difficult to find
restaurants that can accommodate us in a timely manner with a menu
of relative variety. This was not the case at The Yellow Dog.
First, I want to compliment the chef. I had the chicken with
caramelized onions and a wonderful rice. Had I not been in view of
my peers, I believe I would have licked the plate. As I
arrange these outings, I was happy to get very good feedback from
everyone. My compliments also to your very professional
servers.
Again, thank you and have a wonderful holiday.

Hello. In light of the recent tropical event, we would
first like to express our concern and best-wishes for the well being
of your establishment. We hope that the rising waters have
caused you little to no harm. The sentiment is extended to
each of your personal safety and dwellings as well.
We are a bit slow with our feedback regarding our experience at
The Yellow Dog, but not for lack of gratitude. Our evening on
May 24, 2008 was one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever
had. Speaking with the rest of our family that attended, the
feeling is unanimous. While our wedding ceremony the following
day was a grand event, without question, the most talked about event
of the week was the night prior. The staff was kind,
courteous, and competent. The quick thinking and improvised
handling of the appetizers family style was brilliant. Every
thing from drinks through to desserts was delicious, and we sampled
most of it. A special thanks to our waiter Danny, who was
exceptional. We sincerely hope that the Yellow Dog is
continuing to prosper and we would love to return for our
anniversary.

My husband and I were at the Yellow Dog Cafe' this past Saturday
-- and absolutely loved it!
We hadn't been back in about a year, but it was really great!
Wendy still makes the best Martini's in the world!
Our waiter Danny was exceptional! The food, service and
atmosphere are still top-notch!!
Your outside desk was incredible. That is clearly new and
what a magnificent asset & addition.

Subject: Wonderful Just Doesn't Describe It

My family and I have drove past Yellow dog Cafe several times. I
brought up in conversation at work about having past many times and
I was told by a friend it's a must have (at least once). She
informed me of the $$ and that night I decided to spring it on my
husband to venture our way to the Yellow dog. We walk in and my
husband seems to be liking it so far. We sat down open the menu and
I thought right then he'd march my family right out the front door
after seeing the prices. I knew this was a one time gig. I can
honestly tell you that we (my husband, our son) are all ruined
forever. The food was unbelievably great from start to finish. I
know our waiter thought I was kidding but the Ice-tea was the best
I've ever had. I can't rave enough about our meals. If we could
afford to go every week without a doubt we would. I was put by the
toilet and the swinging doors to the kitchen and it still was the
most moving dining experience of my life. My family won't shut up,
we even saved our doggy bag. For what? Who knows, maybe just to say
we've been there. I know my family will be back. My husband retired
(AF) and we've already been on the phone to family not being able to
boast enough. We have been all over and nothing compares. Hopefully
we'll be able to bring more folks with us next time. What a
treat!!!!

Hello:
I am writing to you from San Francisco. Last Sunday my brother in
Colorado arranged a special birthday party at your restaurant for my
mother, my visiting daughter Noelle ( from Washington, DC ) and
myself. The entire evening was just exceptional. It is not always easy
to transact an event from a distance, your staff was very attentive to
my brother's request. The dining experience was far beyond our
expectations, from the minute we met your very courteous valet parking
staff. The wine, cheese plate, salads, entrees, the presentation, the
service --all were near perfect. And the orange juice birthday cake
was like a miracle to us. The architecture of the restaurant, and your
current additions, also contribute to making this a "must-see,
must-experience" destination. Please accept my sincere thanks (especially to Meredith) for an evening we are unlikely to forget. Best
of luck to you all for a prosperous New Year, and most of all,
congratulations for creating this wonderful venue. If there were such
a thing as a six star rating, I am sure you would have one.
